On a serious note: VIOXX is a prescription painkiller folks! It doesn't take a genius to figure out that taking prescription drugs is serious business. If the pain warrants taking a prescription painkiller, then precautions should be taken to ensure that it is being taken under the safest possible conditions. Doctors need to be aware of existing medical problems and other medications being taken. Most prescription painkillers have side effects if used too long. Even over-the-counter medicines have side effects if used too long. There are two sides to every story. If someone has been truly harmed solely as a result of taking VIOXX, and not because of other conditions that may have instigated the condition, then they need to be compensated. Unfortunately, before that can be proven, VIOXX lawyers will be reaping their fortune off of other's misfortune.
